Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for providing safe lift trucks that are suitable for a variety of uses. The ability to make and engineer units for enhanced safety comes from the new technology which is available in the company's experience and the material handling business.
In their newest designs, Yale has started integrating newly available technologies. Several of the new technologies which are on the market are initially applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company conducts numerous controlled field tests and reliability development so as to make certain that their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology that has been integrated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The operator compartment has been designed with ergonomics in mind, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions and exhaustion. These added comforts help to increase overall productivity.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Adjustable operator controls allow the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Before beginning their shift, the operator can make certain he or she is as comfortable as he or she could be.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation referred to as the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the equipment if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on internal combustion engine truck models.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The LPG tank has a drop down design that brings it out from the vehicle's center to the natural handling position of the operator which makes it far easier to change.
