Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks offer height and versatility. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to lift the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks can not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is designed to lift staff is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
