Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move things and materials around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that raises the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single person.
Pallet trucks should be operated with care in order to avoid loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be carefully stacked in order to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to be able to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be centered to be able to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really dangerous to push the pallet in front of you as the thrust could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Slowly come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
