In order to be a successful unit, a lift truck needs to be powerful enough to last in all working environments for many hours of use. It must be able to transport loads quickly and effectively too. The machinery needs to also be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It needs to be powerful enough to continually provide amazing strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with robust gears and extremely tough shafts. The drive, steer axle, engine and transmission are all isolated to reduce vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines use cast iron blocks to promote long life. These equipment provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which needs minimal adjustment or repair. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides excellent torque. Amazing fuel consumption is offered by effective fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The regular Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears that are 15% stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching that adjusts automatically in order to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal that increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. Also, the auto deceleration feature lessens brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Made for added strength, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
In order to protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that can add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. In addition, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
Yale had made numerous ergonomic features and safety features part of their regular packages. These machinery will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the length of their shift.
